Abstract:

The wireless sensor networks (WSN) are one of the most powerful tools available today in the field of ICT. The idea of integrating the use of information technology and telecommunications in cities, national parks, tourist areas, etc., not only represents significant improvements in the provision of services, but is in itself a sustainable path for economic and social development, and therefore, the economy of the countries.

The company is currently facing many challenges, ranging from ensuring safety in public places at traffic management, civil protection, environmental protection, water supply or public transport.

We are now entering an era where the Internet has the potential to dramatically improve the lives of people on this planet. A sensor network consists of a network of devices that become aware of their context, they acquire greater processing power and greater ability to detect the events around them.

The main objective of this project is the design and development of a platform based on a network of sensors capable of capturing and publishing on a web platform environmental data, such as ambient temperature, noise from different noise sources existing in the area, moisture and detection of the fine particles of dust in the air. These data are stored in a database, and can be managed through a web portal, so that you can evaluate the information collected by the sensor network.
