Tĺtulo: Wireless Sensor Networks - state of the art, computation power, application areas
Fecha: miércoles 29 de mayo de 2013 Hora: 13:00h.
Lugar: Sala multimedia del IDeTIC
Ponente: Vladimir Cervenka, Signal Processing Laboratory (SPLab), Department of Telecommunications, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic.

Breve CV:

Vladimir Cervenka is a junior researcher and member of Wislab (Wireless System Laboratory) at the Department of Telecommunications at Brno University of Technology. His work is focused on energy aware direct data processing on wireless senor nodes. He deals with the lightweight mesh networking, communication security and its application in the field of Biomedical signal processing.

Resumen:

The past decade has seen the rapid development of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) in many fields. WSN platforms became cheaper, enabling deployment of many nodes which provide capabilities to sense or even affect the surroundings. The aim of this lecture is to briefly introduce the WSN, presentation of Wislab (Wireless System Laboratory at Brno) work and finally to acquaint with energy efficient wireless body sensor platform for medical purposes.
