Resumen:

The seminar will present an analysis of differents previous researches about algorithms for human gait recognition and the contribution of the kinect camera for the use of new technics in this scope. For this purpose we have developed a program that make use of the new capabilities of the kinect camera, such as independence of the direction of the user recorded, thanks to it’s depth sensor that allow us capture the joints positions in a 3D enviroment. In addition we have made some analysis examples to show the possibilities for classification, verification and other types of machine learning, making use of WEKA, that is a popular suite of machine learning software.
